I found out that the compiled java classes of the dicom viewer are
broken. Probably this happened during the migration from CVS to SVN.
I have released patch 2.1.7.2 [1] that contains the fixed class files.
Download it and apply it (just extract) over your existing
installation.

stays like that for ever. I visited the nagoya site
and went through their demo. It is good. I am not sure
why the same does not happen within care2x.

I think I have reproduced your problem. The Dicom applet fails to load
with JRE 5.0 - both on linux and windows. The error that I can see in
the Java console is this:
java.lang.ClassFormatError: Unknown constant tag 110 in class file

module. I have uploaded a small .dcm file and selected
