I have a CAS server setup with a self signed certificate and I am trying to get
an instance of uPortal to authenticate against it. uPortal is configured to
point to it correctly and requesting login sends me to the CAS server as it
should, but on successful login and redirect back to uP

We have three domains. Each in a separate windows forests.
With Windows Trusts between them. How will we be able to accomplish CAS SSO
between each forest? Has anyone implemented SSO in such an environment. Can
anyone help me get a good start on this.

This problem has been discussed on the cas-user list several times in
the past year. Please search the list archives for more information.
IIRC the only way to resolve the issue is to upgrade the JVM.
