Don and I used a synchronized IBOB/BEE system for a while using the user_clk
input of the BEE2. This turned out to be pretty flaky, with behavior
varying wildly between boards. I don't know what your system is like, but
if at all possible, I would recommend using an asynchronous architecture.

I've been looking very carefully at the BEE2 clock schematics as I need to
eventually synchronize an iBOB and BEE2. There is a PLL chip that drives
User Clock and a 100MHz oscillator that drives System clock. There are also
jumpers that allow choosing to inject an external clock on an SMA for e
