There was a major push of Blue Jays today at Myers Point. In two hours I
counted 2486 Blue Jays heading south, including 803 during one fifteen
minute stretch. Myers seems to be a reasonably good locale to watch jay
migration in fall since they don't like to cross water and they seem to
bunch up
A single female PINE SISKIN visited out feeders (Snyder Hill area) a
few minutes ago. It gave a number of zhree calls and then disappeared.

I had a single Pine Siskin at the feeders at the Lab of Ornithology this
morning.
A single female PINE SISKIN visited out feeders (Snyder Hill area) a few
minutes ago. It gave a number of zhree calls and then disappeared.

This evening there was a basic plumaged EARED GREBE swimming out near the
red lighthouse jetty visible from Stewart Park. The most noticeable thing
about the bird was its very steep forehead and distinctly triangular head
shape, with the peak just above and perhaps slightly in front of the eye.
