seminar, I want to add that my wife, Karen, who spent two years as Artist in
Residence for The Peregrine Fund's California Condor Release Program in
Northern Arizona will also be at the seminar to add her 2 c

carcass. I was sort of surprised to notice a TV on the ground working
on an animal carcass around 10 a.m. this morning, in the open field area
south of Kendall. I sort of forgot about this, until seeing France's

Yesterday about 7am, returning to the house with the dog, as I turned the
corner to the open garage door, a Cooper's Hawk flew out, I think from a perch
(that is, he wasn't just flying in and then back out). He/she landed on an
ornamental tree right in front of the house briefly, turned and eyeb
Mary Jean, Phil and I saw one short-eared owl along center road near co. rd.
129 in the town of Ovid, yesterday, December 8, about 5pm. We drove several
roads in the general area and saw several northern harriers, but no additional
owls.

Hi all,
Monday, Dec 13, is the next meeting of the Cayuga Bird Club at the Cornell Lab
of Ornithology. Our speaker this month is John Confer. EVERYONE is welcome to
attend. The lab doors open shortly after 7 pm, with refreshments at 7:15 and
the start of the meeting at 7:30 pm.

I was surprised to see a Turkey Vulture today by the Cayuga Mall
valiantly attempting to find a thermal in the snow. Such a weird
sight.

I drove up to Summerhill SF this morning to take some photos of snowy
Salt Road. The road was rather quiet between the Roadrunners clubhouse
and Dresser Road. Half a dozen Bluejays, two Red-breasted Nuthatches,
two Downy Woodpeckers, two juncos, and a handfull of chickadees. Just
