Today, I saw 2 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS at the bend of Sapsucker Woods Rd, near the
Lab's bird feeding garden -- apparently they were seen yesterday as well. Also
in that area was a flock of at least 50 HOUSE FINCHES (the largest flock I have
seen in several years), and about 10 WAXWINGS -- all Cedars.

A flock of 35-40 snow buntings has been hanging around the
intersection of Munson Rd & Hall Rd (town of Ovid) this week; and a
flock of ~200 snow geese was foraging through the stubble of a corn
field just south of Interlaken, in the bend of Rte 96, at 11:30 this
morning.
Driving home over Mt Pleasant Road about 1:30 I watched a flock of 21 Horned
Larks and, a little farther down the road, a flock of 14 Snow Buntings. All
were in the cornfield on the south side of Mt Pleasant Road just west of its
junction with Mineah Road. A couple of days ago, 27 Wild Turkeys w
A Northern Flicker, with bird feeder experience arrived at ours on
upper Teeter Rd. this morning, joining the numerous Red Bellies,
Hairy and Downy Woodpeckers. The first White Throat Sparrows arrived
just last week and the usual Junco flock on the deck has begun to

Spotted the Rusty Blackbirds right away just by their silhouettes (SFO classes
are paying off! :) ) upon my arrival just before 4pm. I went in to the visitor
center and asked if anyone else had seen Rusties and yes Dave Nutt
