On my return from a tracking hike at Lindsey-Parsons I stopped by Aurora and
enjoyed seeing the impressive raft of Redheads very close to shore--a main one
and several smaller groups. Also in the area were Golden-eyes, a Canvas-back or
two, Black Ducks, an Am. Wigeon. In the Rafferty Rd area th
While driving up the lower portion of Sand Bank Rd the last two days, there
has been a Red-tailed Hawk feeding on a deer carcass right next to the
road. I can't recall ever seeing a Red-tail feed on a deer carcass before.

On Thursday morning as I was entering Tompkins County, first bird I saw was a
low flying TV. Shortly after that a Raven flew across somewhere near Irish
Settlement (or now Minneaha) road junction on Rt 79.
