Carl, While Hawk Mountain is an incredible location, the trip is fairly long and the spring count is relatively low numbers compared to the count in the fall. Having been to both Derby Hill and Hawk Mountain, I suggest you'd see a lot more birds at Derby Hill this time of year. April counts for b
