This afternoon, a BLACK VULTURE showed up over the compost piles at Game
Farm Road. It circled for a while, then drifted to the northeast.
Thanks to Jay's post, Brian Magnier and myself were also able to find the
Short-eared owls at Scofield Road near Buck Road. We counted five at once,

Ann’s successful owl hunt this afternoon.
A while back I tried to buy a digiscoping adapter for iPhone to fit my Zeiss
scope but the new eyepiece was larger and existing devices did not work.
However, I tried looking
At least three cooperative SHORT-EARED OWLS are currently around the
Buck/Scofield intersection in Lansing.
