Hello! My name is Teresa and I’m involved with an experiment at Cornell
involving radio tagging Tree Swallows. Last summer we deployed a bunch of
solar-powered tags on swallows. These special tags are designed so that we can

Twice today I've watched a crow dive-bombing a Red-tailed Hawk as it sits
perched atop one or another of the Sage Hall spires. The hawk seems
unperturbed. Pretty entertaining!

Hi all,
This morning I found an adult LITTLE GULL in a flock of Bonaparte's Gulls
on the water distant off Stewart Park. I'm only posting now because,
shortly after sending out a rare bird alert text to the RBA group, the bird
took flight with the Bonaparte's and headed north up the lake.
There was a Palm Warbler near the Fuller Wetlands at 8:00 this morning. There
was also a Northern Waterthrush and a Rusty Blackbird singing near the Sherwood
Platform on the Wilson Trail. There are lots of Yellow-rumped Warblers,
White-throated Sparrows, and Ruby-crowned Kinglets.

These three were circling over Bradfield Hall and causing the CU Hawks in the
Weill nest to alarm and escort off the premises.
