A flock of several hundred snow geese flew overhead from south heading north
and then probably set down in an ag field north of me. They swirled and swirled
as they descended.
Sheffield Road, Ithaca/Enfield town line, not far north of Rt. 79.
I think the field is too interior to see them on

There's a very nice selection of ducks visible from Stewart Park this
morning, and viewing is good if you can bear the stiff north wind. The list
includes the Eurasian Wigeon, and also American Wigeon, Pintail,
Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, Bufflehead, Common Merganser, Hooded
Merganser,

This winter my first- ever redpoll flock has been eating niger almost faster
than I can stock it. They do NOT like the fancy finch mix, their bill flips

This morning at our feeders, in our flowerbeds, on our lawn is a flock of
perhaps 100 Redpolls! It's amazing! It's hard to get an accurate count because
they move around so much, and is probably conservative. AND, today is my
