On a very slow plodding run this morning I saw two Great Blue Herons gracefully flying and short soaring. Bluebirds were singing in the lower field and I heard the Pine Warbler on their ridge, in the red pines, at the top of the slope. Many, many Song Sparrows with their happy-sounding, buzzy
