For those of you who don't get text alerts, the harlequin duck was spotted
again today, hanging around East Shore Park with a small raft of mallards.
I believe it was 2-2:30 when we were there.

Yesterday, at about 3 PM, David Wheeler reported an adult slaty-backed gull
on the ice above lock 6 in Oswego. I haven't seen any news on its presence
either way today.

Last night, I received an ebird alert that a pair of Greater White-Fronted
Geese were hanging around Stewart Park at about 3 PM. Just throwing it out
there in case anyone wanted to swing in and have a look, see if they're
still present.

A pair of Lapland Longspurs are hanging out near the cornfield at the
corner of Benjamin Hill and Vanbuskirk Golf roads. Last seen on Vanbuskirk
Golf. There's also a flock of about 20 horned larks and at least 1 snow
bunting.
Thanks!

Hi all,
Not super rare, but an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull is hanging out in the
Hanshaw Rd fields, roughly across from 1452. It was in the right side of
the main flock when I left. Easiest LBBG I've ever found.
Thanks!

I just saw this in an ebird report from a few hours ago...
"on the edge of the Sapsucker Woods Road segment that runs through the
Woods" - Alexander Domb, 8/8/16, 1 PM
Any further info or input would be great.
Thanks!

Hi all,
My wife and I were wrapping up a game of disc golf when a Common Nighthawk
silently flew directly overhead, heading South. We were in the open field
right next to Dotson Park Trail road for any who want to try for it. First
sighted at around 8:35. We didn't see him again, but were only the
The flycatcher is on the back-side of the main pond at the Lab of O and is
viewable from the Sherwood Platform or near the drain that's been meshed
off (just past the blind) as of 12:40.

I swung into Montezuma on my way back from work related travel and saw a
juvenile Wilson's Phalarope cautiously poking around a lump of grass at
Eaton Marsh. He was left of center of Eaton Marsh, and provided much better
looks than anything I've seen at Towpath. This was about 11:30 today.
Also, I
