Just heard a Yellow-throated Warbler singing at Stewart park about half-way
between the boat house (swan pen) and the pedestrian bridge towards the
golf course.

Sorry for the late report, but my earlier email decided not to send
itself. Around 11:15 I had 3 Sandhill Cranes fly over me. I was on
State Street near the bridge to Brindley St. They were headed West. I
lost track of them when they went over West Hill.

I spent 2 1/2 hours yesterday afternoon/evening looking for the
Laughing Gull around the South end of the Lake (Cass Park, Marina,
Jettys, Stewart Park etc) to no avail. If anyone sees it today please

Yesterday I heard a possible Dickcissel on Rt 89 where Lower Lake Rd
intersects. I didn't realize what I had heard until a little later so I
cannot say for sure if that is what it was.

There are large numbers of Tundra Swans currently migrating over Ithaca. I
counted well over 175 during a walk around downtown/fall creek.

There's a very nice looking late Baltimore Oriole hanging out with a
flock of Cedar Waxwings in the wetlands along the Wilson Trail near
the Owen's Observation Platform.
Also a very vocal Raven hanging around.

photographing a huge flock of Aythya (mostly Redhead) from East Shore
Park. About half an hour later while at Myer's Point, I watched a few
thousand fly overhead North.

Took a little stroll around the pond today after lunch and happened upon a
nice mixed flock. In with the usual suspects there was 1 Wilson's Warbler, 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler, and 1 Yellow-bellied Flycatcher.
