There is a RT Hawk at Ithaca College that appears to be injured. The bird
swooped past me on Textor Circle and then perched low on the Center for
Natural Sciences Building. The bird had no visible injury but appeared to
have some difficulty flying.
Thanks!

I've got two male Pine Siskins foraging under my feeders here in Brooktondale
on Valley Rd.
Anyone else seen them today?

Hope this is considered an acceptable use of this list -- my wife's grandfather
was an accomplished birdcarver, and her mother has many pewter feet and glass
eyes that he never used. She'd like to pass them along to a local birdcarver
who can use them. If interested, please email mimlosny...@gma

I don't doubt her capabilities one bit. Such people are well trained &
compass
My sister just called to say that Victoria Campbell called and said the loon
stranded on the east side of Flat Iron Rd. will be rescued at 10 am tomorrow
(Sunday). Thanks to everyone for their efforts on this beautiful bird's behalf;
here's hoping the efforts are successful to get it back on its
off. I know Loons
need a large body of water for take off. Is there anyone who would know what
to do in this situation?
Thanks for any advice or assistance,
Glen
