Agreed, please respect people's property! We just went along the public
paved road this morning and still had amazing looks at the Upland
Sandpipers, who were only a few feet from the road. One was standing
atop a roadside gatepost and provided excellent views as we drove by.

This morning, I went to the Seneca Empire Days Fairgrounds fields with
Gaelyn Ong, Abby Duvall, and Erica Roper. Highlights include 2 UPLAND
SANDPIPERS, 2 HORNED LARKS, an EASTERN MEADOWLARK, and 3 GRASSHOPPER
SPARROWS. A SNOW GOOSE also flew over in with a small flock of Canada
Geese.

Hi all,
This afternoon, I went with Sarah Maclean and Gaelyn Ong to Dryden Lake
and Myers Point. At Dryden Lake (~3:30), we saw some of the Long-tailed
Ducks that Jay mentioned earlier, as well as Red-breasted Mergansers,
Horned Grebes, Belted Kingfisher, and an Osprey amongst the usual crowd
There are numerous mixed flocks with hundreds of geese each flying over
Cornell campus right now. In 15 minutes, I saw ~3000 Canadas, ~2000
Snows, and 3 Cackling.
On a belated note, on Sunday afternoon I also observed tens of thousands
of blackbirds flying in a dense and unbroken stream at Rout

With the weather as glorious as it has been today, I decided to do a
little birding after class. By the Ithaca Cemetery, I found a
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER, a NASHVILLE WARBLER, a BLUE-HEADED VIREO,
