Not sure how long the goose flock will stay, but right now there is a Cackling
Goose in with the other Canada Geese on the main pond in Sapsucker Woods,
viewable from the Cornell Lab's Visitor Center.

A CACKLING GOOSE, first spotted by Jeff Gerbracht this morning, is still
present in the Canada flock on the open water outside the visitor center at
the Lab of Ornithology. It is mostly sleeping now but occasionally wakes up
and moves around.

four Canadas on the water, then flew south but might still be in the area.
Other than that and a female Lesser Scaup, Stewart is quiet. Myers was
similarly quiet earlier.

area yesterday. At the park I saw two possible Cackling Geese. #1 looks a

It's not in the same league as a Ross's Goose, but at 14:00 this afternoon
there was at least one Cackling Goose with the large flock (ca 400
individuals) of Canada Geese in the field along Hanshaw Road, near the
mouth of Sapsucker Woods Road.
