Carol and I had a brief but nice view of two male Orchard Orioles at Salt
Point this morning (ca. 7:45am). They were, for a moment, on the same
branch of a large cottonwood tree which faces out toward the field with
nest boxes (and the speed-bumped driveway beyond that). We'd probably
caught the
I thought I saw a male yesterday and confirmed a sighting today. Sheffield
Road, Ithaca.
Also just watched several swallows chasing and bombing a red-winged blackbird
male. He perched in a tree and they swooped around him a few times and then
left.

Hello All-
My husband and I went for a morning bird walk at Salt Point where we had
multiple Orchard Oriole sightings!!
At one point we saw 4 males and 1 female simultaneously in/near a flowering
apple tree along the southern leg of the trail. 2 male Baltimores were also in
the tree at the sa

Not one, but two male orchard orioles just came to my jelly and orange feeder
in back yard!
First ever I have seen Orchard orioles here, not to mention they are my first
of year for these birds.
This was just after a female and a male Baltimore oriole ate the grape jelly
and orange.

an ASY (brown & black) male this evening. I assume this means there are
nestlings in it.

I saw and heard this young male Orchard Oriole at the Children's Garden on the
27th, although it may have been around longer. It sang from the edge of the
woods above the bike path below Incodema and moved north through the Children's

I was watching an adult male Orchard Oriole singing along the circle at Myers
Point Park this morning, and I noticed something I hadn't before. When the male
sang, his black throat turned WHITE. When he sang some parts of his song the
throat feathers were spread, revealing their white bases. It

The lake off Myers Point was quiet this morning with no sign of grebes or
scoters from yesterday, but an ORCHARD ORIOLE was singing near the park
entrance.

A leisurely stroll during lunch at the Montezuma Audubon Center turned up 2

There was an Orchard Oriole singing and feeding along East Ithaca Recreation
way Game Farm section Maple Wood Road end of the walk just off of the road. Saw

Last Sunday, the 16th, Susan, Ann and I birded up the lake. We

On Myers Point Rd. where it crosses the RR tracks the apartment house on the
