There is a transitional plumage Red-necked Grebe on the beaver pond just south
of Village of Dryden (between Bridle Ln and Crystal Dr) along Route 38, between
Jim Schug Trail and Route 38.
Also, at Dryden Lake a single male Ruddy Duck sleeping and a breeding plumage
Horned Grebe among Ring-nec
Also a Red-necked Grebe at Long point, Horned Grebes at Aurura Bay.

paddling up to see it ended up nudging it in that direction.

Sorry for the late post. A quick check of East Shore Park this morning
yielded a distant RED-NECKED GREBE in the shimmer to the far northwest. I
was able to get a better look from East Shore Drive a bit to the north to

I had heard, perhaps incorrectly, that Steve's group's Red-necked Grebe on the
SFO Montezuma overnight trip was at Van Dyne Spoor Road. At any rate I did not
see it then, and only found the one at Carncross Roat on 25 May which is when
eBird reports for it start. I don't think it could've hidden
I couldnt tell when I saw it today. It dove a couple times but I didnt see it
fly. There was also a snow goose there today too that was uninjured as it flew
fine with some canada geese.
