There was a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker giving its "wah" call a few times as I walked into work here at Sapsucker Woods this morning (28 March 2012). The bird was calling from the patch of woods just south of the outer parking lot, on the east side of the road.
Also in the early arrivals category, there was a singing Winter Wren at Shindagin Hollow last Friday (23 March 2012).
