A PECTORAL SANDPIPER and a DUNLIN are currently walking around on the red lighthouse jetty, visible but very very distant from Stewart Park. Not much else to see down here so far. An adult BRANT was flying around and a Red-breasted Merganser was in the creek. Jay -- Cayugabirds-L List Info:

At 11:30 the single BRANT had joined the Canada Goose flock and decided to be tame and walk around the parking lots- I got within 20 feet or so. An adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL appeared with the many Herring gulls that were dropping out of the sky onto the lake- presumably arriving from the

Viewing from the lakeshore of Treman State Marine Park I was able to see a single DUNLIN on the red lighthouse breakwater, which was newly exposed and puzzlingly otherwise devoid of birds. I am not surprised that Ken did not see it from more distant Stewart Park. The bird was mainly on the west
