I made a brief stop at Stewart Park late this morning. The only species I
noted that I did not see in the weekend reports was was a pair of N PINTAIL
off the east side of the park.
As a side note: There was a report this AM on the Natural History List of a
dead Cormorant on the east side of the park, so perhaps the one that has
been seen this winter is now gone. I didn't find the bird, but I know now
that it was apparently seen farther E of where I checked.

As for yard birds we've had a flock of up to 50 B H COWBIRDS around for the
past several weeks as well as a pair of PURPLE FINCHES. The new bird for
the day was a single RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD that showed up around 4:30 this
afternoon.
