I hesitate to post this, but I was birding SSW this morning (around 8:15am) and
at the Podell boardwalk along the Wilson trail, I saw high up in a dead tree
snag what looked like a juvenile Red-headed woodpecker: distinct white
secondaries, very white underneath when it flew and a brownish/dark head and
neck. Have juvenile RHWs been seen at SSW recently?
