Thanks to Eric's message, our FOURTH visit to find the shrike was a
success: my daughter spotted it in the trees along Nelson and then it
flew to the hay bales, giving us an excellent look--breast barring
and all. It's a good thing, too, because my family was ready to
mutiny if we didn't see it
I had a stretch of not seeing the shrike from Dec 24 until this week, but it
has been visible daily along both E Miller and Nelson Rds, near their
intersection, flying from hay bale to hay bale.
