Hi all,

Many thanks to everyone who replied.
I did find Red-breasted Mergansers at Aurora Boathouse today... I'd estimate
about 50 to the south of the boathouse when I first arrived, but then they
spread out into small groups later in the morning.
I was after shots of them displaying, which they were doing a lot. Here's a
link to my best (=closest) shot of the morning (I was there nearly 3 hours and
this was the closest they came).

Also there:
Common Mergansers
Horned Grebe in handsome plumage
Common Loon (ditto)
Belted Kingfisher (heard only)

And back at home, a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker has arrived and started drumming
on the exact same tree limb that one has used in past years. Maybe the same
individual? Anyway, he will be photographed in due course!

Subject: [cayugabirds-l] Any RB Mergs at Aurora?

Hi all,

I'm thinking of heading to Aurora tomorrow in search of Red-breasted
Mergansers. Has anyone checked the boathouse lately, and if so did you see any
RB Mergs?
