This is a good topic for the CBC to tackle. Educating the fishing and
non-fishing public is key. I think signs w/ or w/o the photo would help as
well as sponsoring a publicized clean-up day.

In response to Geo's note - I caught a fishing line in a tree on my first
cast once, so I know how easily it happens. Luckily for me and any
unsuspecting wildlife, the line was retrievable!

have known better" events, i.e. the result of careless or inept casting.
Experienced anglers can avoid this problem. More difficult to avoid are the
underwater snags, and I suspect the latter exact a greater cost on
