Along the trails by the ponds on my property this morning, were many
species already reported (whew, lots of RBGR) but, such fun seeing a
chatty little Spotted Sandpiper with background chorus of Warbling Vireos
and several orioles. Spring is most definitely here! Happy birding all.

Yesterday I got two male Rose Brested Grosbeaks who’ve also been here today.
Then this morning I got two male Baltimore orioles. A while later the Catbird
showed up. The special surprise was a male Indigo Bunting! What an exciting
bird day!

Just back from a great hike to the top of the waterfalls at Lick Brook (can't
recall the new name of the Preserve). Lots of wildflowers and native plants.
And we had a red-tailed hawk chase an adult Bald Eagle from its catch of a
large fish just feet ahead of us on the trail. Later saw and
Saw our first Indigo Bunting at the feeder area today such a deep blue
color!

Friend, Karen, on Pleasant Grove Lane reports a Scarlet Tanager this morning.
East Hill Rec Way was full of House Wrens and Catbirds singing away. We had
our first Rose Breasted Grosbeak, Brown Thrasher and several White Crowned
Sparrows this morning, just waiting for a nearby Oriole to come

Feeders put out yesterday and male hummer just seen at the test tubes. Twelve
white crowned sparrows under feeders with an eastern towhee pair; RB grosbeak
male on one feeder. Brown thrasher lurking nearby. Baby bluebirds in two nest
boxes, tree swallows nesting in another two.
