Please include your employer details as well. *Job Title* *Business Object** **Developer*** *Project Location* Jersey City, NJ *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Interview Mode : Phone and Face to Face*** *Skills Required and Job Description:* Job Overview: - Consult with users, management, and technical personnel to clarify business requirements, identify problems, create quick BO / Excel reports and suggest changes. - Analyze functional requirements, then propose reporting solutions to them based on company standard systems and perform workload and risk analysis related to these solutions. - Help deploy application to UAT and production environments, and handle bug-fixes and implement possible system redesigns during these periods. - Participate in user trainings. Responsibilities: - Determine and document Business Requirements by interviewing sponsors, users and subject matter experts. Document the necessary reports and their corresponding business case. - Design Functional Specifications and Technical Specifications of the necessary reports. - Develop reports and dashboards by following the best practice and conventions in place. - Perform integration tests of the reports. - Organize the Acceptance test and obtain the Sign Off. - Organize the implementation of the reports in production. - Handover the reports to the IT support team. - Handover the reports to the users. Technical skills: - Strong SQL Query skills with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience. - Ability to work with large databases, data warehouses and universes with numerous objects of different types, setting up complex formulas, and creating reports with specific layouts. - Ability to tune performance is a plus. - Ability to extract reports using various platforms, primarily BOXI. - Business Objects knowledge is required & practice with BOXi WebIntelligence is a must. - Preferably strong EXCEL skills with VBA is a plus. - Knowledge and experience with Xcelcius is a must. - Basic Unix scripting knowledge. - Communication skills - A very good team player and to be able to work quickly and independently. - Good English verbal and writing communication skills: Be able to communicate with team mates, users and managers easily. - Excellent technical documentation skills - Functional skills - Strong Business Analyst skills (Banking knowledge prefered Loans, Letter of Credits and Payments) to be able to understand business requirements, needs and priorities. - Business Objects experience a must..
