Job Purpose: Under general supervision of the University Technology
Services (UTS) Enterprise Applications Student Program Manager, this job
supports the activities of subject matter experts (SMEs) for enhancement
and production support of one or more of the modules associated with the
delivery of the UTS supported Ellucian Banner 8.x enterprise application
and its integration with other enterprise, departmental, and external
applications. This job includes the creation, analysis, and management of
business requirements and their supporting processes. This job also
involves working with the Program Manager and other team members to develop
common standards, quality assurance procedures, and testing procedures for
release management - including program & data maintenance and enhancements
of the assigned modules. This job also involves post-implementation
production support - including incident triage/resolution as well as defect

1 Yes Production Support Provide Student incident management support (tier
2) to the UTS Service Desk. Advise, request, & run production batch
processes in consultation with customers. Collaborate with the Program
Manager & IT Service Management team to review/maintain operational &
service level metrics from the service management system for trends,
patterns, prioritization, improvements, & training needs. Daily40%

2 Yes Change Facilitation
Collaborate with Student users & stakeholders (to include admissions,
financial aid, registration and records and the bursar) to define, analyze,
recommend & implement system improvements & functionality in accordance
with established change control & release management processes that meet
business requirements. Document technical requirements, system
specifications, use cases, workflow diagrams, interface designs, & test
plans. Provide functional & technical guidance to developers of custom
application solutions, reporting/analytics solutions, fixes, patches &
security. Coordinate system & user acceptance testing of updates, patches,
fixes, & customizations. Understand interdependencies within application
module, components, & related third party products. Advise, coordinate &
assist Student SMEs with system security strategy, design, & implementation.

Serve as primary contact between Student functional department business
analyst peers & UTS. Provide technical guidance to training activities.

Participate with peers, Program Manager, and other UTS managers in

establishment & enforcement of IT standards/processes.
