The k character is from ip blue. Close this down and relaunch and you
shouldn't see it.
Regarding your issue, if the signaling ip of the cme is defined in
ccm, as an h323 gateway for example, then the gateway settings are
used for inbound calls- css, sig digits, etc...and NOT the trunk.

Well, after tearing it down and rebuilding it, it initially failed again. As I
walked through and began checking things, I noticed that the name of the trunk
had gotten corrupted this time around. For some reason when on the VPN, it
seems like occasionally it will add several "k" characters to
