We just set up our new linux machine using the older Nvdia set up as given on
Coot and PyMol.
We managed to get hold of all the various components some second hand (the
stereo glasses were pre used). PyMol worked fine immediately. We ran into
issues with the latest stand alone build of Coot, in that the maps disappeared
on starting stereo and also the stereo image was weird. After installing an
earlier (version 0.8) everything works perfectly.
The main issue we found, was getting hold of a compatible monitor that is of a
decent size and has the right refresh rate and has the right DVI port.
