The laboratory of Dr. Yogesh Gupta at University of Texas Health Science
Center in San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio™) is seeking a highly
motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Fellow with strong interest in
structural and mechanistic studies on protein-nucleic acid complexes
implicated in post-transcriptional gene regulation and chromatin biology.
We combine various structural biology tools (X-ray, NMR, cryo-EM, AUC,
SAXS) with *in silico*, and cell-based methods to address basic mechanistic
questions, and exploit this knowledge for drug discovery. Our well equipped
lab is physically located within the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research
Institute <http://gccri.uthscsa.edu/> (Greehey CCRI) at UT Health San
Antonio. In addition, we have full access to an extensive array of
institutional core facilities (Biochemistry core
<http://biochem.uthscsa.edu/core_facilities.php>, CIDD <http://utcidd.org/>,
Research core labs <http://research.uthscsa.edu/RCL/index.shtml>), and
regular access to synchrotron beamlines.

Applicants with demonstrated experience in protein biochemistry and
structural biology, and a keen interest in studying large macro-molecular
assemblies are preferred. Candidates are expected to possess strong
organizational, interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a
team. Candidate should hold (or soon expect to hold) a PhD or equivalent
degree in a related discipline. Prior experience in X-ray crystallography,
biophysical methods (SPR, AUC, ITC etc.), and enzyme kinetics is desirable.

Salary is competitive. San Antonio offers affordable cost of living and
there is no state income tax in Texas.
