Happy New Year! Post for a friend. Please contact Dr. Yi Shi at wally....@gmail.com or yi....@mssm.edu if you are interested. Please help to pass the information to your colleagues, students, or trainees.
Multiple postdoctoral positions are immediately available in Shi laboratory of Proteomics, Center for Protein Engineering and Therapeutics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC. The lab is interested in developing biotechnologies for the analysis of biomolecules and macromolecular assemblies, with a focus on mass spectrometry/proteomic techniques. Recently, inspired by the high translational potential of the camelid single-chain antibodies (so-called nanobodies), our lab has developed robust pipeline technologies and tools to facilitate nanobody drug discovery and therapeutic applications. The lab is also interested in the development and application of integrative structural approaches to study protein-protein and antibody-protein interactions. An emerging direction of the lab is to conjugate machine learning, structural biology, and proteomic approaches to facilitate the bioengineering and design of novel protein therapeutics and vaccines. The lab is vibrant, fun, and collaborative, and supports creative ideas and career development. References: Kim, S.J., et al (2018). Postdoc housing is subsidized by the school of medicine. Motivated individuals (Ph.D. or MD) with backgrounds in *mass spectrometry-based proteomics, microbiology, structural biology (such as cryo-EM), and cancer immunology* (ideally with animal model experience) are particularly welcome to apply. Interested candidates may submit their CVs, including names and contact information for two-three references, a short description of their research experience, and goals to Professor Yi Shi at (wally....@gmail.com or yi....@mssm.edu).
