Applications are invited for a fully funded postdoctoral position in the
laboratory of Michael Reese in close collaboration with Dany Nicastro’s lab,
both at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The research project follows up on our
recent in situ cryo-FIB/cryo-ET work on the apicomplexan invasion machinery
(https://dx.doi.org/10.1038/s41467-023-37327-w) with the goal of combining
single particle cryo-EM and cryo-ET to determine high resolution structures of
the giant (>100 nm) subcomplexes that drive the infectivity of the parasites
that cause some of the world’s most deadly diseases.

Applicants should hold a recent Ph.D. (or be within a year of receiving their
Ph.D.) and have a strong background in structural biology. If interested,
please send a CV with cover letter and contact information for 2-3 references
to michael.re...@utsouthwestern.edu<mailto:michael.re...@utsouthwestern.edu>.

Members of the Reese lab have full access to outstanding shared facilities as
UT Southwestern, including high-field NMR, X-ray crystallography (with regular
synchotron access), and world-class cryo-EM (with easy access to 2 on-campus
Krios). UT Southwestern is highly collaborative institution located in the
heart of Dallas, TX. Dallas is a diverse city that is fun and affordable, with
great food and arts.

As an equal opportunity employer, UT Southwestern’s employment decisions are
made without consideration of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age,
veteran status, or disability.
