Two postdoctoral positions are available in the Department of
Biochemistry of the University of Cambridge, UK to study structure and
function of macromolecular complexes important for DNA repair and
replication (see Davies and Pellegrini, Nature Struct Mol Biol 14,
875-7, 2007; Klinge et al., Nature Struct Mol Biol 14, 475-483, 2007).
The positions are funded by the Wellcome Trust and are available from
September 1st, 2008 for up to five years. The starting salary will be in
the range £25,888 - £33,780 p.a. depending on previous experience.
Applicants must have a PhD in structural biology, biochemistry or
molecular biology. Experience in expression and purification of
recombinant protein, protein-protein and protein-DNA interaction
techniques and enzymatic assays is a strong advantage. Knowledge of
protein crystallography is useful but not essential.
Interested individuals should submit a cover letter describing relevant
research experience, a CV and the contact details of two referees to Dr.
Luca Pellegrini at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Informal enquiries are welcomed.
The positions will remain open until filled.
