It looks like you have a JTAG connector on there - please keep that.
The CPLD you had on the last board, XC9572XL is a bit long in the tooth,
perhaps? Would you expect to use that one again, or a newer chip?

My B&L Stereozoom microscope didn't have any protection for the
objective lens assembly. It uses a rather oddball 38 mm threaded mount.
I thought that those with the same scope might be interested in the
adapter being sold as eBay 401250097157. It fits the 38mm thread on
the B&L perfoectly and

I have to disagree with that. The LA36 is horrible. There is a major
