Kind of makes sense: All of the serial ports go through the 8085 CPU
interface thingie and my guess is that it can do the register emulations
only so quickly.

1) Can I plug it straight into a pdp11/23+ CPU with a 10 pin ribbon cable?
2) Can I hook the 10 pin ribbon cable on it into a normal 11/23 or 11/73
bulkhead to get RS232 for hooking up to a PDT11?

For fruit flies in kitchen put some apple vinegar in a cup, cover it
with saran wrap, make a few small holes in it with a knife and push the
wrap into the cup (not touching the vinegar) to make a dimple.
Works perfectly.
