I created a DVD with mkisofs 2.01a29-unofficial-iconv (i686-pc-linux-gnu) on a debian Linux system. I could not find any mount option that would show me the real size of a file which was about 3GB in size, but on Solaris the sizes are correct. So I think that mkisofs works with large file sizes,

I just ran out of Verbatim 8x dvd+ medias and then bought some max disk dvd+ which says 8x on the box, but both growisofs and cdrecord-dvdhack will only burn at speed 1x even with the speed=8 option set. does anyone know why this is and whether something can be done? by drive is at noname (BTC)
