I've been working with this drive. I have it working in DVD-RAM mode, and I
was planning to test it with the latest cdrecord over this weekend for DVD-R.
Joerg says that he has reports of this drive working with cdrecord. I
think
the DVD-RAM/DVD-R combo reports a slightly different
Bizarre how in real world tests DVD-R works on most DVD players and
DVD+RW does not. DVD-RW of course doesn't work on most DVD players
either. Neither did CD-RW on CD-ROM drives for many years.
Funny enough, my old Pioneer Standalone player (DV414) can play
anything I throw at it.

Just off the top of my head - I don't see where you're passing the
host with the CDR a password. Try removing the password? (I know, not
really safe at all, but it
