Hi,
I am using centos 6.4. i am trying to update
/proc/sys/fs/epoll/max_user_instances but it seems like it is not supported
anymore in /etc/sysctl.conf.
How do we update max_user_instances on centos 6.4?
Thanks & Regards

Hello all,
I have a CentOS box that has a NIC (eth0) on which I defined 4 VLAN's
(counting the NIC itself): eth0, eth0.1, eth0.2 and eht0.3. Initially the
Cisco switch was not partitioned into VLAN's which means that the only VLAN
running on it was the default one (VLAN 1).
I have then played wit

You could setup an iptables rule on the OUTPUT chain to log attempted
accesses, then
watch the log file, like outlined here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11584824/run-a-system-command-when-an-iptables-rule-is-matched
You could use "lsof -n ..." to find the command trying to open the port.

Hello,
With SCL and epel repositories enabled, some dependencies for the package
name 'nodejs' get satisfied with libs from SCL which are placed in paths
that are not part of my user's environment. Is there a method to make sure
that nodeJS from epel dependencies are only satisfied from epel?
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to notify or log when a specific remote
port is openened? I have an old LDAP server that I am looking to get rid of,
but there is still a few queries reaching it.
The sytem authentication is setup correctly (as is Postfix), so I am thinking
