This is a question should be asked about any VMware system and not just
vmplayer.
This issue exists on any version with the combination of either RDP or VNC
for a very long time when using they GUI such as vsphere client.

Log out and there will be a setting in the login screen where you can
change your desktop environments. There you can choose GNOME 3 (Not GNOME 3
Classic)

When I VNC into 7.4 everything is fine until I run vmplayer (VMware).
The vmplayer runs but when I type on the console for vmplayer which is also
running a centos image I get multiple key presses - sometimes. Its not
everytime - but enough to be annoying.
How do I take care of that ?

Do you have `sar` installed and activated?
Does sar output show high memory leading up to the outage?

I think of a layout like in the centos wiki:

This bug report from the upstream vendor (RH) for RHEL 7 might help in
troubleshooting what's causing the error message:
Two onboard nics, Intel, eno1 and eno2
If either of them is set to onboot then network won't start.
one error message says :bad vendor preset disabled
Another error message (in red) says Failed to start LSB

I got in and removed that kmod and got it booted.
Now I have to figure it out why it won't connect via ethernet even
though its set to DHCP and should.
Seems every major CentOS update changes the network stuff in a way that
causes headaches. That's probably just my frustration speaking but

No wifi. The wifi was using wl-something driver that had third party
firmware but it wasn't seen.
Attempted to get network with ethernet from the mobo to router but it
wouldn't come up.
So I rebuilt the wl-whatever kernel module and installed the updated
