Ok - I went back to CentOS 7. In the same box.
CentOS 7 has this same file:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel Graphics"
Driver "intel"
EndSection
/var/log/Xorg.0.log has the Driver being Intel i915 version 1.6.0
but in CentOS 8 - it does not work and uses the generic driver.
