On Windows (completely different software I know)
I've never been able to get 4K monitors to work
using HDMI 1.2. They always max out at 1080. Simply
using DisplayPort, everything else being equal,
fixes the problem. Same on Macs.

want to remove the standard version of
gfortran in case something goes wrong.
(I know that the rpm command can do this
but some rpms don't allow it).
