I noticed that this link

reports an available package called centos-release-gluster8
This package is missing in Extra repo for el7.
The general package called centos-release-gluster links instead to the
latest version of glusterfs7.

centosian here has some experience and know the answer -
I've started googling but have to failed - glusterfs does
not translate local FS (xfs) quotas and presents them to its
clients, does it?

I'm doing some experiments with GlusterFS. Most documents online suggest
to install the glusterfs-package as if it was available directly in the
repo, and therefore installable via a simple "yum install".
Unless I'm wrong, it appears that this package is not in the repo for
CentOS 6. Does anyon
Anyone familiar with it?
If so, a few questions:
- is there one head server, so that anyone referring to the f/s talks
to that server?
- how transparent is FUSE to existing programs, or should I just
use NFS?
- how's the performance?
