Oh, I also forgot the version string:
[root@test10 foolog]# ceph -v
ceph version 0.25.1 (commit:7f4a161e7fd1bb0d0eab3958b427a3c4c585bc05)

Cool enough, got the log now... last_ack < tid test failing.
Some transaction not making it through?
I originally intended to build this with -g (rpm), but my build
must've been looking at an incorrect/older version of that package.

Hi all,
We have made some progress recently on getting a Ceph RPM that works
on CentOS 5.5 and other Red Hat-derived distros.
Now that our version number no longer includes a tilde, and the spec
file has been pruned a bit, I think we have a shot at building this

I'm doing some testing via cfuse (technically via samba-over-cfuse).
I caught the core dump and pulled a stack trace. This is the thread
that seems to be initiating the core dump.
I can provide the rest if it'll help identify what's going on.

I'm trying to build the Ceph client on Ubuntu 10.04.2 with kernel

My mistake. To start a daemon on a remote node you need the -a flag. e.g.
/etc/init.d/ceph -a start osd

Hello developpers,
please don't mind me writing to this list.
