I have now managed to get ceph FUSE+docker dbs to work, after a small battle
with the documentation.
For future reference:
/etc/fstab
none /mnt/ceph fuse.ceph
ceph.id=admin,ceph.conf=/etc/ceph/ceph.conf,_netdev,defaults,nonempty 0 0

I am also using CephFS with Docker for the same reason you said. Also
Ubuntu 18.04. I used the kernel client before Nautilus, but now FUSE,
because the kernel client is to old (might work now with the newest HWE
kernel).
