fixes sooner on RHEL than on CentOS as depending on their severity
level they are released during the z-stream

Is it, though? Was the experience really any different before “Stream” was
appended to the name? We still saw dot releases
I had followed the steps in the documentation, but it’s likely that something
went wrong during those steps. I copied over the mon store instead, as you
recommended, and it fixed my problem. Thanks for your help, now I can finally
progress with this.
