Read will get the newest content. If the read arrives during the write
interval, it will wait for the write applied.

Hi everyone,
I am reading the FileStore source code and confused with the read() and write()
process.
If journal is enable, write() will be acknowledged after the changes are
committed to the journal device but before they are applied to the file system.
However read() is always satisfied fro
Thanks for the info.
I was able to do a lazy unmount and started back up fine if anyone

That was it! Thanks! I don't quite understand why it doesn't use the source
information so that way you only need a single user on each side, but...
okay, it's at least working now!
Thanks again for your help. If you want a T-shirt from our store or
anything just let me know privately :)

Hello,
a few questions on Ceph's current support for Infiniband
(A) Can Ceph use Infiniband's native protocol stack, or must it use
IP-over-IB? Google finds a couple of entries in the Ceph wiki related
to native IB support (see [1], [2]), but none of them seems finished
and there is no timeline.
Okay, I created a new user and had it sync successfully.
I created a bucket and it replicated correctly.
Uploaded file successfully to the master zone, yet still getting an error
like this:

Unfortunately I had tried that and was able to create a bucket on both ends
and add an item to it with the user. Here are my us, us-west and us-east
configs: http://pastebin.com/QwnKvvwD
The us configuration is the same between east and west (west is supposed to

Thanks a lot.
yes u are correct. i can use connect the upcase target name in Linux but

Hi Cephers,
I'm trying to recover from an inconsistent object issue. I know which
object is inconsistent across its two replicas, but I'm having difficulty
determining which of the three copies is correct. Is there an easy way to
determine which file in CephFS the object is a part of? (I know how
Hi,
please try a targetname without uppercase characters and without any other
special characters:

It certainly doesn’t hurt to reload your zone and region configurations on your
RGWs and re-run the regionmap update for the instances tied to each zone, just
to ensure consistency.

I’m sure you’ve already tried this, but we’ve gotten burned a few times by not
running radosgw-admin regionmap update after making region/zone changes.
Bouncing the RGW’s probably wouldn’t hurt either.

We had similar issues with our configuration – since you’re getting an HTTP
403, it seems like something is misconfigured with the system account, or with
the destination zone. I would recommend using the API/Secret keys with an S3
client (Cloudberry Explorer, s3cmd, or whatever) to do some tro
yes, im scratching my head over this too. It doesn't seem to be an
authentication issue as the radosgw-agent never reaches the us-secondary
gateway (i've kept an eye on us-secondary logs as i execute
radosgw-agent on us-master).

Hi,
We recently tried to switch to kernel 3.13 (from 3.5) using the Ubuntu
Precise backported kernels (e.g. package linux-generic-lts-trusty), as
we're having problems with memory fragmentation with the 3.5 kernel
(3.8 was worse!). After upgrading to 3.13, some - but not all - OSDs
