Hi,
i have a use case for CephFS whereby files can be added but not modified
or deleted. Is this possible? Perhaps with cephFS layout or cephx
capabilities.

That's not something that CephFS supports yet; raw RADOS doesn't have any
kind of immutability support either. :(
