That's generally my opinion about it as well... I suspect the "eww gross" response is

I remember 1984 made some interresting correlations between sex (or rather sexual

I'm not sure I'd equate a greater tolerance of violence over sex with a male dominant
influence... Most of the guys I know are pretty interrested in both when it comes to
films and definitely less interrested in violence when it comes to real life.

She was very open about it and encouraged understanding and respect
instead of worrying about the act and the pictures.

Tim, have you read anything by Horatio Alger Jr.? I think you'd like it
and since you're a parent, I highly recommend it as something you might
want to add to your library for your kids.
You can get a start, by downloading them from here:

Well, my theory, which seems to be working so far for my kids, is that they
*won't* worry about it unless you go around hiding the covers to these
magazines... then they will wonder what is on them, and find out, and be
interested in them because they are "for grownups"

But, at what age do we need to expose children to this? Certainly at 5 or 6 or 7
there is no need for children to be concerned about this. Their bigges

Personally, I believe that when it comes to sex ignorance is dangerous. I
gave my son a talk last year after a local girl developed a crush on him,
to the effect that although I realized he wa too young for the talk, I'd

That was actually part of the discussion on the programme, in the UK we
have a "yellow card" system for doctors to report side effects of drugs
on their patients. Apparently this works well for new drugs but is a
waste of time for any that have been on the market for a while.

My dad was a defense contractor. I had no contact with him from about 12

Not sure if I agree with that or not, but i'll play devils advocate. Why cover any
magazine at all? Should we have copies of Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler uncovered as
well. I mean I want my kid asking why the woman is spread open wide enough that she
won't need an annual exam for another yea
